A sound bath is simply an hour where you don’t have to perform, plan, or be “on.” You get to lie down, get comfortable, and let sound help your mind and body finally unclench a bit. This guide will walk you through what to bring, what to expect, and how to make the most of your time — no prior experience required.

Think of a sound bath as the opposite of a boardroom: no shoes required, no tight clothes, no awkward introductions.

Here’s what helps you settle in:

  • A yoga mat or something soft to lie on

  • Cozy layers — your body cools down when it relaxes, so things like socks, sweaters, or a blanket are perfect

  • An eye mask or scarf if you want to block out the world for a bit

  • A water bottle for afterward

  • A journal (optional) if you like to jot things down

If you’re ever unsure, just ask yourself: Would this make me more comfortable? If the answer is yes, bring it.

  • your shoulders drop

  • you feel warmth, tingles, or lightness

  • your thoughts soften

  • you drift in and out like that moment before sleep

  • you feel emotions move through you (totally normal)

  • you simply feel relaxed — which is more than enough

After the session, give yourself a moment. Sit up slowly, drink some water, stretch a little. Most people leave feeling lighter, clearer, or simply more human.
